Investec CAPE TOWN ART FAIR
Christopher moller gallery X ICTAF BOOTH C13
20 FEBRUARy – 23 FEBRUARY 2026
The Christopher Moller Gallery is delighted to participate in the 2026 edition of the Investec Cape Town Art Fair, presenting a considered selection of works that reflect the richness, depth and complexity of contemporary artistic practice on the African continent. The gallery’s presentation forms part of a broader commitment to showcasing artists whose practices are both rooted and responsive, engaged with history while speaking to the present moment.
The featured artists of the gallery’s showcase include Ablade Glover (Ghana), Annamieke Engelbrecht (South Africa), Chris Denovan (South Africa), Frans Smit (South Africa), James Mishio (Ghana), Lionel Mbayiwa (Zimbabwe), Michael Gah (Ghana), Mpho Feni (South Africa), Nessi Penman (South Africa) and Kwaku Yaro (Ghana). Together, these artists contribute to an evolving creative zeitgeist shaped by diverse cultural contexts, material languages and modes of expression.
In dialogue with the fair’s curatorial concept, ‘Listen’, the works on view invite viewers to slow down and engage attentively. Rather than asserting fixed meanings, the exhibition encourages a quieter form of encounter, one that values presence, nuance and reflection. Through gesture, texture and narrative restraint, the artists open spaces where meaning is gradually revealed, asking audiences to listen to what unfolds beneath the surface.
With a shared focus on the human condition, the gallery’s presentation addresses experiences and values that transcend cultural, geographic and social boundaries. Emotions, memory and vulnerability emerge as universal points of connection, reminding us that beneath difference lies a common thread of humanity. In a world where the loudest voices often dominate, the works invite viewers to engage beyond binaries and surface distinctions, fostering empathy through attentive looking and deep listening.
By foregrounding both continuity and change, the gallery’s presentation reflects on what it means to remain attentive in a rapidly shifting world. It is an invitation to engage deeply, with the works, with the moment, and with the shared human experiences that resonate across difference.
