HOLIDAY by Michael Gah

Presented by the Christopher Moller Gallery.

Christopher Moller Gallery is delighted to announce their carefully curated showcase of original artwork by a select group of eight significant contemporary artists at this year’s Investec Cape Town Art Fair 2022. A slew of new works by these investment artists will be unveiled at the fair and we are privileged to play a role in sharing their substantial creations with collectors and the greater public alike.

The fair runs from Friday the 18th to Sunday the 20th of February 2022 in Cape Town, South Africa and the Gallery is thrilled to be sharing the stage with some of the contemporary art world’s leading artists, fellow representatives and galleries.

Each of the artists has been chosen for their considered and varied narratives that reflect moods and ruminations within the contemporary art community and importantly - within the context of artists living on the African continent. The collection includes original pieces by Tosin Kalejaye, Olamide Olisco, Hamid Nii Nortey, Frans Smit, Chiderah Bosah, Juan Stockenstroom, Michael Gah, Jean-Baptiste Djéka and Azuka Muoh.

Investec Cape Town Art Fair is the largest art fair on the African continent, showing cutting edge, contemporary art. The Fair provides a platform for galleries, collectors, curators and artists from around the globe to engage in cultural and economic exchange. We offer an intimate experience of one of the world’s most unique art capitals. Investec Cape Town Art Fair is where the fast-growing African art market and the international art world meet.

The allure of Investec Cape Town Art Fair is its content and its placement on the African continent. With the advent of its 9th edition, the market will prove that art fairs are a sustainable economic model for trade in contemporary art.

The city's geography is an integral part of Investec Cape Town Art Fair’s success. Cape Town is a vibrant cultural hub, attracting international collectors with the novelty of diverse, cutting edge art and a favourable exchange rate.
